The Russian Sleep Experiment is a fictional account of experimentation acted out on subjects by the Soviet Government and Military in the wake of World War II. The experiment, ostensibly meant to explore the effects of sleep deprivation on the human body was also used to test a new gas that could keep people awake for days at a time. The story documents the degeneration of those experimented upon.
