Tales from the Rack

“For Posterity” was written by Rachel Malasig.  It starred Karen Shickell as Heather and Justin Kapla as Bob.  Direction by Jeffrey Adams.  The sound effects engineer was Serena Erwin.  “For Posterity” was recorded before a live audience at The Salty Jester, a performance club in Int’l Falls, Minnesota on May 31, 2024.

This has been ‘A Tree Falls in the Forest’ recorded before a live audience on September 30, 2023 at the Salty Jester in International Falls, Minnesota. Our cast included Scotta Turner as Cheri, Caleb Silvers as David, Jeffrey Adams as Jim, Dalton Johnson as Bob, and Mitchell Erickson as Pete. Script written and directed by Jeffrey Adams. Sound effects by Diane Adams. Episode six: “Bottled Nell” in which Nell is held in custody and interrogated by a mysterious voice on a loudspeaker. She fights valiantly but ends up spilling her biggest secret to save Dean’s life. Episode Five: “How Many Lives does a Snowcat Have?” in which Nell, Dean and Dean’s dad escape the FBI via alien tech that dumps them not far from a resort where Nell’s ex works. While warming up, Dean’s dad reveals he has a secret escape ship hidden in the woods but a snowstorm will make it nearly impossible to reach until Nell’s ex agrees to drive them to the ship in a snowcat. Then...BETRAYAL!! AN ARMY DESCENDS!! And Dean gets shot AGAIN!!!

Episode Four: “The Blind” in which Dean and Nell hole-up in another secret hideout where Dean finally reveals all (he’s an alien) while all the alien forces without scour the forest for them. A day later and they’ve outlasted the search. Now all they have to do is get back to the tunnels and find out what happened to Dean’s Dad. Then, the ice gives way (NO!!) They are saved by Dean’s dad (YEAH!!) and then...is that the FBI?! (BOO!!)
