Ignoring the mounting tension betwixt party members, the heroes set out for Round 4! It's business as usual with the Wheel of Woe and the Sphinx's riddle. But hey, where'd that extra door come from?

After what feels like almost 2 months, the heroes finally return to the Marketplace and the Dove's Rest for some shopping and some much needed R&R. If R&R stood for Really Sad & Ready to Fight that is.

Howdy folks! As a special April Fool's treat, we've got a feed drop here from our friends over at Giggle Guild! They're a fellow actual play homebrew dnd 5th edition podcast, but they also stream on Twitch! They're currently on hiatus, so now's the perfect time to catch up!

 

Join DM Jonathan and Rumble, Maqwynn, Glitch, Varya, and Rowan, with special guest Sun as the gang presses on to Eastevaria. There they encounter a stranger looking for help. The spirits of the forest need aid, and the shattered anchor of Ironcrest lake might be a bigger problem than previously thought...

Having just finished escaping the wizard's tower, the heroes now find themselves in a familiar setting. It's time once again for a coliseum rumble where their opponent is! Faux? Oof hope that's not true or these guys are dead for sure.

The heroes are still trapped in the wizard's tower, but it's about to take a turn as they come face to face with said wizard. Or rather, the wizard's corpse. Hopefully Zander's not too scarred and the heroes can survive this encounter. They still have to beat the rest of Round 3 after all!

Synopsis

Zander's wild magic pops up and he floats up to the next floor of the tower, with Clank and Anathae following behind. Upon arriving on the second floor, Anathae discovers the source of the burning smell Clank noticed last episode. It's a beaker spilling over with some kind of liquid in the lab of the second floor. With further investigation Anathae discovers a journal detailing the decline of Zander's master. Zander then makes the discovery of his master's corpse on the third and final floor. The corpse awakens when Anathae and Clank arrive, immediately targeting the heroes for a fight. Clank manages to summon the Lich master's deepest fear, death, and the heroes manage to escape back down to the first floor. They try once again to crack the lock on the door with little success only to have the Lich master break free of Clank's spell and make his way down to the first floor with them. After some fighting, Clank and Anathae managed to chop of the Lich master's hand and Clank uses it to break the seal on the door. This solves the puzzle while also destroying the Lich master. Zander destroys the treasure chest reward before the heroes move on to the next challenge in the Gauntlet. They're greeted by Faux in the coliseum, and then Zander launches a fireball at Faux.
