It was made for thunderstorms and cold days. For curling up by the fireplace, whiskey in hand. For long reads, favourite movies, and nights when sleep was so hard to find. It clashed with the décor and it’s ascetic offensive to most visitors. Voiced by Phil, produced by Postie, photo by Jrtc.

Dave wasn't careless, that’s just the point. Dave was very careful... Three Corners careful. That careful that came with the knowledge that life was fleeting and precious, and you couldn’t let it get in the way of fun, laughter, or his latestinvention.

The Old Bat was a crack shot. There had been a murder of crows cawing up the back of the paddock for a few days now.

The new shoots of grass had drawn the wildlife to the edge of the road, where the cars and trucks had finished them off.

An ice-cream container, filled to the brim with water had been gingerly and very carefully carried across from the tap to the new pen. Grubby hands had eagerly spread the chook pellets to help them feel at home, the chickens settled in to stay and so, therefore, they needed names... When the large semi-trailer tried to negotiate the bend at three corners, rather unsuccessfully after the work Christmas party, the entire town got a present that most would have preferred never to have received. Produced by Postie, photo by Stefan.

Losing her house wasn’t the end of the world, she tried reminding herself. It was a silly phrase. Losing.

She hadn’t lost it at all, it was right there where the developer would be bulldozing it into a thousand tiny matchsticks.
