Tales of the Stardust

    Medea is one the most well-known Sorcerouess in Greek Mythology, she was a Queen until her Husband Jason, for who she sacrificed her family and home, got exiled and left her in favor of another woman. Many can tell the story of how Medea and how terrorized Jason by going on a murder spree, but the lesson that we can take away from Medea is what happens when we deny ourselves worth for the sake of someone else's validation.     Metis was the God Zeus's first wife, but she was also the Goddess that was the first queen of the Olympians. Her story consists of her aiding Zeus with his fight against his father Cronos, but it is where she comes from that is special about her story, she is a sea nymph in a family with 300 siblings. She never had the destiny to help Zeus, and no one probably would have seen it coming by seeing her blend in with her vast ocean family. Many believe that it was because of her enchanting beauty but she also had an enhancing spirit. How she caught the eye of Julius Ceasar is how she had confidence in herself and how she had faith that she would be a great Queen of Egypt.     Isis, the wife of Osiris, had to go on an impossible journey to find her husband who was cut to pieces and spread across the Nile by their jealous brother Seth. While protecting her baby Horace, she goes on and invents the mummification process in order to bring back Osiris from the dead; however, he must only rule in the Underworld so she has to wait for her little son to grow up and one day to get back his crown that was stolen from the family.      Clytemnestra, the wife of King Agamemnon, has a troubling past with her poor daughter, Iphigenia, being sacrificed in order for her husband to go to war. As she waits ten long years for her husband to return, all that is on her mind is how she will get his revenge.     The leading lady of the famous Homer Poem, "The Iliad." The woman of launched a thousand ships, Helen holds more power and consequence in her actions than she may believe. She causes a war that lasts for ten years and is stuck between the two sides with the Trojans and Achaeans. But the longer she waits to choose a side, the more men are sacrificed in the war until it is too late. Come and join me as we see how our actions can affect more than we realize

     Persephone is the Queen of the Underworld, but it is only for a portion of the year. The rest of her time is spent in the fields as a child along with her mother Demeter. She is seen as a Goddess of Rebirth and of Destruction, total opposite epithets of each other, how does be herself with two halves of herself so different? Come and join me as we discover how this unique Queen finds herself through authenticity and how you can find some of your own. 

     Hera is the Queen of the Gods and is most notoriously known throughout Greek Mythology for plotting revenge on any woman that finds themself in bed with Zeus, Hera's husband. As a Queen, Hera Must appear strong in order to keep her dominance among the other Gods but as a wife, she shows the fears and feeling that anyone can feel if their partner betrays their love. And with all eyes watching the Queen, she has no time to remorse about her heartbreaks, so come and join me as we learn how we can be strong through showing our vulnerability than having a heart of steel. 

Persephone was taken from her mother and her childhood to be the queen of the Underworld alongside her husband Hades, in which she had no choice in the matter. Her story represents the scary and hard struggles of growing up, as we always look back at the "Good'lil days," with no worries and responsibilities. But when we are old enough to go out in the real world, it can sometimes feel like the underworld, new, scary and confusing. But Persephone doesn't stay a scared girl for long in her new home, so come and join me as we dive down in Persephone's journey from a girl to a woman.
