Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and more have infiltrated our lives to the point that we're so dependent on them.  A major outage on October 5th caused a lot of panic in people.  There is also controversy surrounding Facebook about how they play people against each other in order to make money.

What's the end result?  A world filled of people with anger and depression?  Young people never developing the ability to find a gray area in any debate?  A community being obsessed with body image and materialistic things?

Nothing is what it seems in America. Politicians don’t care about their constituents. Reality TV is not real. The Denver Broncos aren’t a great football team.   But what about when it comes to dating?   Are people trying to pull the wool over your eyes? Are people covering their imperfections to help with their confidence or pull the okey-doke on you? What is considered “catfishing” these days?   

At one point, catfishing was all about covering up your identity to people you met via online dating apps. They would post a photo of a model and then show up for the date looking like a dump truck in overalls. But now, you can be fooled in-person as well as through a dating app. Some people are masters of illusion. Is it just putting their best foot forward or is it being a fraud?
