Back on August 26, 2022, I interviewed a group of ladies who broke a barrier not just in Mississippi, but maybe the nation.  They were the first all-black and all-female officiating crew for a high school football game.  Fast-forward to today and the end of their season isn't as festive as the start of it was.

Adrienne Barnes, who was the referee and lead official for that historic crew, returns to the show to discuss certain practices within her profession that's getting the side-eye.  The high school championships are here and some of the high-ranking officials are being shunned in order for less-deserving groups to get a chance on the big stage.

Enjoy this Q-on-1 interview with Adrienne, who demonstrated a lot of courage in showing up to discuss something so volatile, as we discuss how there appears to be some discrimination within the high school sports association in the state of Mississippi when it comes to premium assignments.

Michelle Carter reached her life’s goal in 2016 by winning gold in the Rio Olympic Games. Beginning her throwing career in 1997 while in junior high school, Michelle is a three-time Olympian as well as a World Championship gold medalist. She has excelled at the national and international level for 15+ years. While still in high school, Michelle captured eight Texas State U.I.L. titles in shot put and discus as well as two national girls’ shot put records and the Texas state record in discus. Michelle first donned the USA jersey at the 2001 World Youth Championships where she won silver and has been collecting Team U.S.A. Jerseys ever since.

In 2008 she followed in the footsteps of her father by making her first Olympic Team. Michelle completed an epic double in 2013, capturing gold at the USA Indoor and USA Outdoor Championships as well as setting her first American record. In 2015, she won her sixth USATF Outdoor Championship en route to winning the bronze medal at IAAF World Championships in Beijing. Michelle won gold at the 2016 World Indoor Championships in Portland, but her crowning achievement was at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro when Michelle succeeded at winning the gold medal and setting the American record at the event. Michelle became the first United States female athlete to win the event since the women’s competition began in 1948. We discuss her storied career as well as what her 2nd career will be now that she's officially retired from the sport she has loved so much!

This is something we discussed last year, and I don't think that a lot of women took it seriously.  The Sexual Marketplace is a thing regardless of if people like it, understand it, or not.  There are certain attributes that people possess that contribute to their ability (or inability) to be successful in finding dates (although it has very little to do with finding a successful relationship).

On this show, we'll see how the ladies feel about the dating arena.  Do they feel as if there is a competition of women of all ages or is that just an illusion that social media perpetuates?  If it is true, then what steps should a woman take to compete?
