As we look at the last three words and the final words by Jesus on the cross, we begin to understand why a hardened soldier would be moved by seeing the extraordinary things he heard and saw. What is the final phenomena? Torn curtain, earth quake, rocks splitting open, dark sky for three hours, the dead rising from their graves. Wouldn’t you start asking some questions about the death of this man?
