A curious spot in southeastern Massachusetts that has been the site of legends and curses for generations, as well as unusual phenomena such as ghosts, balls of fire, giant snakes and other strange creatures.

Hundreds of bodies remain only a few feet beneath this golf course, and workers have reported everything from feeling uneasy to hearing ghostly noises over the last several decades.

The Marshall House's history during the Civil War lends itself well to ghost stories. Rumors and reports include seeing ghosts in the hallways and foyers, as well as hearing children running down the long, narrow halls late at night.
