Talk Comics to Me

We interviewed Chip Zdarsky and it was fun and comfortable. Turns out we all have something in common: everything makes us cry 🙃🙃 Listen to the episode so you can hear him talk about how a movie featuring a seeing eye dog broke him.

*In Champ fashion they forgot to start recording at the beginning of the video so, you miss a couple minutes where they break the ice over Hannah Barbera dogs guarding hell, Chip telling Heather she looks like Christopher Meloni*

This week we delve into some horror books we had on our shelves. Heather themed hers completely to Clive Barker. Champ just went for a couple horror books from their shelf plus continuing the Transmetropolitan. We miss new comics!

Looks like we've got almost a month worth of trade reading to do so we continue the reads off our shelves. Heather has a bit of a hodgepodge of books, while Champ had a bit of a Rich Tomasso theme. This week we talk about Lost City Explorers, Forever Maps, She-Wolf, Horror of Collier County and more!

Still no books, but that won't stop us from reading or talking about comics. This week Champ finishes up Ex Machina and gives their thoughts. Otherwise brief discussions on The Escapist, Loki, Sex Criminals, Black Monday Murders and Transmetropolitan.

No new books this week, so Heather and Champ dig into some more trades. Champ found a couple new favorite books in the process after sitting on the books for years. We talk about Angel, Come Into Me, Amazing Nightcrawler, 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank, We Can Never Go Home, Royal City and more!

Heather and Champ talk about Daytripper a book all about life and death. They break down each issue what happens, how it ends and the meaning behind the issue for them. So if you haven't read it there are MANY spoilers and MANY emotions.

Well, there were no new books this week. So we improvised and read some trades that have been just hanging out on our shelves. In this episode we get into the important business like who is the top in Wolverine and Nightcrawler's relationship. Other than that we just delve into Amazing Xmen, All New Wolverine, Ex Machina, Apocalyptigirl, and Blacksad. It's a short one but be ready.

Heather and Champ talk about the new comics they picked up this week. Though there more than likely won't be new books in the next couple weeks we are still planning on brining you weekly shows of older trades and series we are starting. We are sad but comics are forever and hopefully we won't have to go without our fix too long. This week we talk about Xmen, Hellions, Wolverine, Far Sector, Cimmerian Queen, Last God, Sex Criminals and more!

The world is REAL weird right now and we are just trying to have a bit of normalcy so we talk about the comics we were able to pick up this week 3/18. Both of us have a few books we read but didn't quite comprehend because our brains were in a weird space but we do our best. This week we talk Alienated, Hotel, Middlewest, Bang!, Xforce, and many more.
