The human species is very complex and critical, of themselves as well as others.  We blame a lot of our societal ills on genetic disorders, environment, and human nature.  Bue do we believe that people can really change thier character?  Can a criminal becoome a law abiding citizen?  Can a racist become a loving person of all races?  Can a dog really change his spots?
