Talk Cosmos

Join host Sue Rose Minahan as she welcomes Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Muschett of Camano Island, Washington to look at different “Scorpio VSP Relationships” (Venus Star Point). Depending on your location, the very final Scorpio Venus Star Point concludes its 100-year cycle on October 23 or 24, 2026 at 0°45’ Scorpio.

Based on Arielle Guttman’s seminal book, Venus Star Rising, a Venus Star Point (VSP) experiences three distinct relationships with the other Star Points: The Karmic Star, The Twin Star, and the Creative Star.

Five ongoing zodiac cycles of Venus conjunct the Sun, creating an envisioned pentagram of five points.  Each remain the ‘head’ of the envisioned Venus Star Point pentagram until the next conjunction approximately every nine and half months.

Each VSP cycle experiences relationships with the other four ongoing Venus Star Points of Leo, Gemini, Aries and Capricorn.  This Oct 23/24, 2026 Scorpio VSP at 0° Scorpio shifts its energetic relationship for each of the other Venus Star signs.

Most importantly, Scorpio feeds or gives energetically to Cancer (1926-1960 VSP) and Gemini (1962-2027). Likewise, Scorpio  Star Points get fed by Aries for its entire duration (1929-2027). Aries also will end within a few years because Aires and Scorpio enter closely within years as a pair.

Join Talk Cosmos, Sunday 11 October 2026, 1–2 p.m. PDT as we explore the “Libra Taurus Moon Phases” ushering in the Fall Equinox season.

Venus commands October’s stage in deeply impassioned Scorpio. Turning (apparent) retrograde October 3, she descends back into her own sign of Libra, not far from the 17°22’ Libra New Moon on October 10. Strategizing adjustments to sudden change propels manifesting hidden visionary dreams towards a repurposed social context.

Steadily, Mercury moves towards its retrograde in Scorpio a few days before the October 26 Tarus Full Moon at 02°46’. Breakthroughs push relentless changes. Mental compassion with emotional healing transform relationships and resources. Important to unearth what our soul yearns to fulfill in our life. Listening and speaking to our heart opens doorways within.

The Essence of the Luminary

The Moon regulates how the past—reflected through the Sun’s light—flows into the present. Every lunar cycle supports an evolving life story as we navigate shifting emotional energies and find new meanings of our life story. Each month offers the energetic input needed to grow, heal, and develop in mind, body, heart, and spirit. Eclipses intensify these dynamics, bringing our focus to pivotal changing factors in our lives.

The Scorpio Venus Star Point cycle makes its last Sun-Venus conjunction October 24, 2026, completing a 100-year cycle. It’s a sensitive point that remains to be activated for the next four years by aspects in a chart or by transit.

Energetically, Venus in Scorpio desires deep alignment in committing to our passionately embodied values. Nothing half-way. It either feeds our soul and ignites our empowerment or has no purposeful function. In fact it could become a detriment if we neglect recognizing what provides resourceful support and meaning to our life. Essentially, this energy seeks for us to fully embody the passions we hold most dear – energetically in our work and in every relationship.

From Earth’s perspective, Venus’s motion will appear transiting retrograde. We will experience intensely reviewing motives to understand and to reclaim emotional truth. Scorpio’s a fixed water sign and represents emotional depths hidden, perhaps relating to past lives yet to surface. Time to focus on bringing light-filled awareness into emotional stories we wish to untangle and refresh to see in a new light.

Join host Sue Rose Minahan as she welcomes from England the Astrologer Joli Knott to expand on understanding the impactful “29° Nodal Churning Rod”

Since July 26, the South and North Node have been locked at the anarectic 29th degree—a rare 11-week alignment lasting until October 9 due to their slowed movement during eclipse season. This critical degree embodies the culmination of each sign's archetype. Operating as a single axis, the nodes act like a churning rod to recalibrate strengths, weaknesses, and polarities. The Aquarius North Node invites us to find our community and share creative leadership for the collective good. As the nodes station at this completion point, what might the universe be asking of us, and how might we answer the call?

Join Talk Cosmos, Sunday 13 September 2026, 1–2 p.m. PDT as we explore the “Virgo Aries Moon Phases” between the Fall Equinox shifting our seasons.

The Virgo New Moon at 18°25’ on September 10 mentally juggles deeply emotional choices. Mercury steps up to work out balancing commitments, seeking to empower ourselves through building self-worth. This healing unfolds through community networking, exchanging purposeful visions and transforming them into resourceful connections.

On September 26 the 03°37’ Aries Full Moon ruler, Mars, responds to Mercury’s call to action by choosing a study program that envisions renewed plans. Operating cautiously allows time to process deep emotional values, truly connecting in relationships that transform both us and others.

Join the journey on Talk Cosmos, Sunday September 6, 2026, 1–2 p.m. PDT (4-5 p.m. EDT) about “JUPITER FIRE TRINE SATURN”.

This is the first trine in a series of three between Jupiter and Saturn since their Great Conjunction on December 21, 2020 in Aquarius at 0°29. They’re called the social planets because their 20-year conjunction cycle resets social culture. However, their larger cycle involves 200 years in each element. The December 2020 conjunction ended their 200 years in material earth signs of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. It initiated the future 20-year conjunction cycles in the non-material air signs of Aquarius, Gemini and Libra.

Jupiter’s the planet of expansion, making everything bigger, whereas Saturn’s the planet determining what is essential and fundamental. Leo’s confidence and generosity add to Jupiter’s growth. Aries’ thrust for honesty, and its courage, drives Saturn to work industriously.

We have a year of realistic optimism channeling our efforts into manifestation. These fire energies operate instinctively, with courageous confidence.

Host Sue ‘Rose’ Minahan explores the dynamic energy of “Mars Action Squares Saturn” by reviewing evolving cultural consciousness themes during their thirty-year cycles since 1908.

Mars Rules Aries

Mars transits protective Cancer while retrograde Saturn, transits in identity-based Aries. Thus, Mars the ruler of Aries guides Saturn while in the sign of Aries.

Their energy influencing us to redetermine directions in addressing what drives our honest needs of identity. These relate to the emotional drives supporting close-knit, family-like relationships. We internally process re-establishing motives and ambitions while Mars squares Saturn in apparent retrograde.

30-Year Cycle

Mars in Cancer square Saturn in Aries, repeats only about every 30 years because of their ecliptic orbits. Mars orbits the Sun in two years, and Saturn in 30 years. Most recent exact squares on August 15, 1996, and July 11, 1968.

Their current square began August 23 shortly before the Lunar Eclipse. The energy reaches an exact culmination at 13° Cancer/Aries on September 1st – staying in orb until September 8. Mars enters Leo on September 29 and Virgo on November 26. Saturn stations direct on December 10.

Join Talk Cosmos as we explore the 4° Pisces Lunar Eclipse occurring on August 27–28. As the second celestial marker in this eclipse pair, this show picks up where our August 2nd episode left off, diving deeper into the August 12 Solar Eclipse at 20° Leo.

Navigating the Energy

The Pisces Lunar Eclipse focuses on what part of a dream or vision we must ground—avoiding fantasy—to discern the exact skills needed to transform ideas into reality. Sudden insights guide us in activating this process. Ultimately, the 4°59’ Pisces Lunar Eclipse asks us to reset our self-care and heal our sense of self-worth—and possibly our physical well-being—while developing our resources and talents for true self-reliance.

Nodal Dynamics & Critical Degrees

This Pisces Lunar Eclipse echoes the lingering residue from the recent 18-month Pisces-Virgo nodal cycle following the earlier Solar Eclipse in Leo. With the nodes having entered their new cycle, they hold at the critical 29th degree for over two months (July 26 through October 9). The 4° Pisces 54’ Lunar Eclipse occurs at 12:18 a.m. EDT on August 28, and at 9:8 p.m. PDT on August 27.

The Essence of the Luminary

The Moon regulates how the past—reflected through the Sun’s light—flows into the present. Every lunar cycle supports an evolving life story as we navigate shifting emotional energies and find new meanings. Eclipses intensify these dynamics, bringing our focus to pivotal changing factors in our lives.
