What happens when you don't trust your partner anymore, so instead of confronting them, you test them?
A wife sends a friend to tempt her husband. A husband has his friend approach his wife. Someone creates a fake social-media account, sends the DMs, manufactures the opportunity, or deliberately puts temptation in their partner's path.
Then the partner takes the bait.
Who betrayed who?
On this episode of the TalkLife Podcast, MrTalk718 goes deep into manufactured loyalty tests, infidelity, trust, manipulation, third-party involvement, divorce, accountability, and the difference between looking for the truth and looking for proof of something you've already decided to believe.
We also tackle an uncomfortable reality: being set up doesn't erase your responsibility if you choose to cheat. But cheating doesn't automatically make secretly manipulating and testing your partner healthy either. Two things can be wrong at the same time.
And what happens when your partner passes the test, then discovers you secretly tested them? Did you prove they could be trusted while proving that you couldn't?
This isn't men versus women. Nobody gets a pass.
The bigger question is:
If you've reached the point where you need to manufacture temptation to determine whether your spouse is faithful, was the relationship already broken before anybody took the bait?
