Today we talked about the "Grand and Glorious Civic Celebration" that took place on The Common and in the Canal District all Monday afternoon and on into the night. Thousands were on hand to show their support of the new Worcester Red Sox.

Tracy Lovvorn is the Republican Candidate for Congress from the 2nd Congressional District (Central Mass, including Worcester). She is running against Jim McGovern in November for a seat in the US House.

Worcester Red Sox President Dr. Charles Steinberg and Worcester Mayor Joe Petty both joined us (separately) to talk about the commemorative parade that is being held on Monday at 5pm to celebrate the official move of the club to Worcester.

The parade will start on the Common and work it's way into the Canal district through Green Street. There will be fireworks at the conclusion and a handful of Red Sox legends will be in attendance. All are invited.

Janet Marie Smith has designed or helped to design Camden Yards, Petco Park, and The Fenway Park renovations- and now she is coming to Worcester to design Polar Park as the PawSox become the WooSox in 2021.

Dani Babineau is the Co-Founder and CEO if Redemption Rock Brewing that is opening up at the old Coke bottling plant building on Shrewsbury Street.

She and her team are going for a community-based, cafe-style feel that will make people feel comfortable and. Redemption Rock is partnering with and drawing from lots of historical and current Worcester influences.

They will open in late 2018 at 333 Shrewsbury Street in Worcester
