Talk Of The Town

Oxford economist and global thought leader Sam Monger shares real-world examples of his work in London that helped transform the exclusive areas of Mayfair and Belgravia to solve an attainable housing shortage, lack of foot traffic to retail districts, lost opportunities to capture taxable revenue, boost sustainability and greenspace, and create a more livable and desirable environment for residents and business owners. Monger and Chamber President and CEO Betsy Gardner discuss how these models could apply to Winter Park.

Winter Park Outlook guest speaker Sam Monger, head of Place-Based Impact Investing at the Good Economy in London, will offer thought leadership and a different lens of how to reimagine existing development to improve an upscale and established city such as Winter Park while simultaneously preparing for future challenges including attainable housing. Winter Park Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Betsy Gardner and Winter Park Mayor Sheila DeCiccio will speak about their roles as leaders of the community, their vision for how collaborative solutions could work and what role each sector can play.

This show is a collaboration between the City of Winter Park, the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce and Rollins College and each show provides useful information and a transparent look into the happenings in Winter Park.
