On August 22, 2005, Castor’s husband, David, died in what was initially believed to be a suicide.  Aspects of the scene bothered detectives and they hesitated to close the case.  Stacey’s fingerprints were found on a glass of anti-freeze found on the bedside table and a turkey baster with trace amounts of anti-freeze and David’s DNA on the tip was found hidden in a trash can in the kitchen.  Surveillance of David’s grave and Stacey’s phone conversations gave police probable cause to exhume the body of Stacey’s first husband, Michael Wallace, who died suddenly on January 11, 2000.  Shortly after the exhumation, with rumors of the findings making the rounds, Stacey’s oldest daughter Ashley was found unresponsive in her bedroom, with a conveniently placed “suicide note” in which Ashley exonerated her mother and admitted to killing her father, Michael Wallace and step-father David Castor.  We’ll talk about the case against Castor, the evidence proving that she killed two husbands and attempted to kill her daughter, her trial and direct appeal.  We’ll also talk about Castor’s post-conviction claim in state court and her sudden death in June of 2016.

Rowling is also under fire for recent tweets regarding trangender femailes. Also on the agenda we will be discussing the removal of statues of indiviuals linked to the confederacy and if this is a wise choice of the communities and governments involved. On September 25, 2014, Beverly Carter, a Little Rock real estate agent, went to a bank foreclosure property in Scott, Arkansas to show the house to a couple who contacted her online.  Beverly was lured to the property by Arron Lewis and his wife, Crystal Lowery, who targeted her because they perceived her to be “a rich broker.”  The poorly executed kidnapping plot soon unraveled.  Beverly and Carl Carter, her husband, didn’t have ready cash to meet a ransom demand.  Lewis left Beverly’s purse locked in her car at the Scott property and brought her back to the home he and Lowery shared in Jacksonville.  Lewis murdered Beverly and then, with Lowery’s help, buried Beverly’s body in a shallow grave at a concrete plant in Cabot, Arkansas.  Join Lisa O’Brien and Michael Carnahan on Tuesday, March 26, 2020, at 8:00 p.m. Central for a bonus episode, State of Arkansas v. Aaron Lewis and Crystal Lowery.  We’ll talk to Katie, a former Jacksonville resident who was who was terrorized by convicted killer Arron Lewis and his wife, Crystal Lowery, prior to the couple’s kidnapping and murder of Beverly Carter.  We’ll also talk about Crystal Lowery, his wife and co-defendant’s recent request for a reduction of her 30-year sentence, which was handed down after she pled guilty and testified against Lewis in his capital murder trial.

On November 9, 1994, Farah Baquer Fratta was murdered in her garage in Humble, Texas a suburb of Houston.  Her killer was a an 18-year old hired through a middle man by her estranged husband, Robert Alan Fratta.  Fratta, a bodybuilder and former Missouri City public safety officer, was angered by the couple’s pending divorce, his child support obligations and allegations made by Farah in the divorce proceedings.  Join Lisa O’Brien and Michael Carnahan on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at 8:00 p.m. Central for Clear and Convincing, Episode 13, State of Texas v. Joseph Andrew Prystash and Howard Paul Guidry.  In Part 2, we’ll talk about the Fratta’s co-defendants, Prystash and Guidry, who carried out the murder‑for‑hire.   We’ll review the evidence against Prystash and Guidry, their trials, direct appeals and post-conviction claims, including the grant of federal habeas relief to Guidry in 2003.  Then, we’ll talk about Guidry’s 2007 re-trial, direct appeal and post-conviction claims. Finally, we’ll talk about the impact on Farah’s children, Bradley, Daniel and Amber.
