Wow! What a year this has been! But WE MADE IT! I know that is not the case for many people around the world BUT I am trying to be positive and though people die every day and horrible things happen to where people aren't going to see 2025, I do believe it's important to be grateful for all we do have and to be thankful that we are still here as we can all do good in this world to hopefully help make the world a better place. That's how I try to see it. Trust me it is easy to get sad with death and being in the world of ovarian cancer advocacy... it's hard when you hear of another woman dying to the insidious disease. YET God gets me through it. Because if we are still breathing... there's still a reason!

I hope you all had a great new year celebration and I HOPE y'all will have an amazing new year! I'm praying, hoping and believing the same for me and mine.

I have some news to share so make sure you jump in and give me a listen. It's good while maybe not something great as it means this podcast will be coming to a close in 2025 -- Just not sure when exactly.

I am enjoying my volunteer time at the USO (please click on the link to learn more about the organization). I speak of it a little as it's why I didn't post an episode yesterday. 🫡

I wanted to talk about some of the latest things going on righ now. Though there is SO MUCH going I stuck with the United Health Care CEO murder and the killer and the insanity of because it is attractive he is somehow looked at in a nice way despite MURDERING someone. 🤦🏽‍♀️Unbuckingfelievable! (swearing by way of dyslexia is now I roll l😉)

I had to bring up those that trump has picked to be on his administration, and never have I felt like I am on crazy pills like I do right now. Holy cow! Not to mention how many billionaires (yes with a B!) that are set to be on his administration too. Just wow! Just not even kidding when I say I am scared for the next four years under president musk and vp trump. Yes, that's what it seems is going on. Elon Musk looking to be running things and not trump.

Lord be with us! Please. 🙏🏽

But hey I do try to get back to being positive. So had to end it on wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas. Happy Hannukah . If you don't celebrate either of those please just continue to be well... and stay well.

I was on an unplanned sabbatical. Had a cold on and off for I feel over a month. Still have something that I wonder has just been lingering. Ugh! Then I went on an 8 day get away over to Europe. Copenhagen, Denmark to be exact! It's a beautiful lovely city with lovely people. Lots to do. Lots to see. Lots to eat. And lots of walking. It was fantastic! But my body had a little rough go of it a bit. Just the body hasn't done that extensive traveling for a good while now. Still worth it!

OF COURSE yours truly has to talk about the upcoming elections. It literally could change the course of our country and our democracy IF that man trump wins. So YES I have to talk about it as it's a way to vent and maybe just maybe help with those out there that still haven't voted. God knows we need all the help we can get to vote for our Democracy to not be ruined by trump and his minions. It's scary y'all! Scary! And it has zero to do with Halloween. BTW: If you celebrate Halloween, be careful and have fun. 🎃

Well, well, well, guess who's back and it ain't no slim shady!

I know I've been going for almost two months and that's the longest break between seasons since I started this podcast. I apologize but I can say it was for good reason. September was, as y'all know, was ovarian cancer awareness month and I was doing good stuff for that and bringing in guest to interview over at my other podcast. Y'all know how I feel about spreading that awareness and it will always, I pray, be something I continue to have passion for. That said, I did stay away longer than intended. So much to get to and that shall take place every Friday or every other Friday as season 11 gets underway.

Ending season 10 with some updates on me and some politicking <--hard not to do some of that with everything going on with the upcoming election. Hey everyone. Hope y'all are well. This new way of recording my podcast episode is frustrating me so much. I can't. That's why I didn't on Sunday. I'm trying to find another home for my podcast and it's a little perplexing to say the least. But I don't give up. I'll not give up. As I love podcasting and the new adventure with Teal Time with Hope is still going to happen. I just got to get the recording down in a way that is way better than the attempt we made a few weeks ago. When it's just me it's not perfect but I'd rather have some static then echoing going on where the interview goes in a way that I can't publish and not because of the interview itself but because of the recording platform. Ugh!

I needed a break, a sabbatical if you will and some of it was to focus on getting my website -- hopeaguilar.com -- created, not there yet but it will be live any day now, and getting business cards created and shipped. The other part was putting off the inevitable with spotify's new way of doing podcast episodes. I thought it would be simple and it wasn't, not at first anyway. Not to mention it's not the same on the app as it is on the laptop. Frustrating to say the least. But I figured it out and my big sis was in town (we celebrated our mom's 74th heavenly birthday) and she asked if she could interview me for my first episode for the new podcast Teal Time with Hope -- that kicks off this Tuesday. We played around with it and I think we did a good job with the first episode. But y'all be the judge of that by going to check it out. Please and thank you. Also, please note: I plan on continuing with Talk Time with Hope as hey, it's a place to share so much about my personal life and views and perspective and gosh is there a lot still to share. Yes, I'm referring to politics. lol
