Welcome, welcome welcome to Talk Time with Hope season 9! It's crazy, right?! :)
**Correction: the ladies of the battalion didn't fly to Europe they went on a ship.***
I'm excited to be doing something different for this season, and maybe all seasons going forward. And that something different is sharing stories that are true and good. Sorry, no true crime stories here. And let's be honest, everyone is doing that already. I like a lot of them too, but just not for me. Not what I want to share. I want to share good stuff. I want to spread some good in this world, cause we all need more good. And those true crime stories can be not so good, can be scary and even depressing. I don't want that. And maybe you don't either. So, let's go with good. Good stories. True stories. Stories I may have only just discovered and feel that they are stories you may not know about either. And, hey, sharing is caring...so that be what I will be doing. :) <3
This story is amazing! And it's near and dear to my heart because it's about women in the military. Women in the military at a time when they weren't even called soldiers, but rather WACs, which stood for Women's Army Corps. But it is also special to me because these women are also African American and though I am not of that race, I am a woman of color. I just am so grateful for this story, and so should we all.
Listen in for more. :)
