I am a recovering people pleaser. I started my journey about 3 years ago. I'm a leader, and I always wanted people to feel good and be happy. I also struggled with saying no. When God brought me to Clemson to be a strength and conditioning coach. One of the things he revealed to me right away was I needed to run towards confrontation. I needed to set boundaries and be ok with knowing that everyone is not going to like me and that's ok. The bible talks about if we aim to please human beings, then we lose sight of pleasing God and giving him the praise.

There are two types of people in the world. People who are doers and people who stand on the sideline and watch. The right time to do whatever you truly desire is now. It doesn't matter what the situation is. You just go and God will provide you with all that you need. When you go for your big dream, don't worry about money because God can fund it. The time is now, go be a doer.

Sometimes we often ask for just enough, but God intended for us to ask big so we could be a blessing to someone else. Our presences, time and talents can help so many people in our lives. God has given us all many gifts and talents, and I think we have to be willing to let our light shine bright. We can encourage others by simply showing up and being willing to serve each other. You have an opportunity each and every day to be a blessing to someone.

God hears and sees all. We pray and pray and often times we think that God doesn't hear us, but I want to encourage you that he hears us. The key is are you praying with the right intentions. God knows our heart and he knows what we truly need. So, it's important to be self-ware and pray what you truly desire. Knowing with confidence that God hears you.

Forgiving someone is not about that person, it's about you taking back your peace and power. God has called on us to forgive just as he forgave us. I believe that when you forgive it unlocks a door to a blessing that God has for you. Forgive but never forget. Forgive and let God do the rest. Time is what we want the most, but it's also what we use the worst. Imagine setting a schedule every day that points towards what you want and who you want to be. The time is there, but are you willing to take advantage of the time?

Every day is an opportunity to defeat ourselves daily. Easier said than done, but it can be done. I truly believe that God intended for all of us to be successful and have the true desires of our heart, but what gets in the way at times are doubt and not taking action. Once you announce with your mouth that you want something or you are going to do something. Your next step is action, belief and to defeat yourself daily.

This is the generation of entrepreneurship. I have been blessed to get into the content creator space and on this episode, I sit down with the owner of La Vera Clemson Mexican kitchen and bar Yazmin Bruce. She also owns 3 other businesses, and she talks about what goes into being a business owner and she tells her story about how she got into it. She also gives some advice for future entrepreneurs.

I always told my athletes that I love them, and they are stuck with me for life. I would text them in a group chat or contact certain ones over the phone. Recently one of my former players from high school gut punched me. I have been giving them surface level love when God has called me to give them more than that. I know my calling and along this journey God continues to show me things I need to be doing. This moment was one of them. The surface level of love is not enough. The job is never finished when working with the youth.

Change can be so many things. One thing that most people say about change is that it's hard. I will have to disagree, I think change is a challenge sent from God to help us get to a new season in our life. Most people get stuck in their bubble because it's comfortable and safe. When God is trying to tell you that it's time to make a change so you can move up to the next level in your life. You can't be afraid of change. Take the challenge head on.

The saying common sense is not so common use to be a running joke. Today, that joke is not running. It's standing still because it's true. It takes nothing to be kind to someone, but as a society we have made being kind hard. The next thing is competition, this generation is so afraid of competition. Nobody is willing to compete the right way. The right way is standing toe to toe and saying, "I will beat you" Instead we have people that will go behind your back and try and beat you the wrong way. Common sense is not so common.
