Christie is a champion in multiple aspects, excelling in both business and athletics. Her accomplishments include winning a college national championship, receiving multiple All-American selections, and earning an Olympic gold medal in softball. Additionally, Christie has successfully built and managed various companies while generously sharing her expertise through speaking engagements and coaching.

However, what sets Christie apart is her drive and willingness to help others. During our conversation, we covered a variety of topics, including Christie's experiences at the Olympic Village, strategies for building trust within organizations, and her enthusiasm for podcasting.

Zane O'Brien is a highschool biology teacher. When I spoke of starting a podcast, Zane was one of my first supporters. He is a great example of a teacher who is thinking about the wellbeing of his classroom, as well as being innovative with technology in the classroom. TikTok and YouTube is really good at keeping our attention, but Zane is better.  

We discuss many things, including technology in the classroom, the importance of extracurricular activities, online dating, coaching football, and different kinds of sandwiches.

Pat Brown is an investment advisor and a former football player who has a heart for teaching financial literacy to student athletes. While playing for the University of Kansas, Pat set the university record and tied the NCAA record for most pick 6's by a linebacker in a game. He now brings the same level of dedication and focus to his work in the financial industry. Pat is a kind individual who is highly engaged with the community. He uses his natural charisma and expertise in finance to educate young athletes on how to manage their money and plan for their future. I'm sure we've all seen the documentaries of professional athletes going broke. Well, Pat aims to teach athletes sound financial principles in hopes of preventing another hero to zero story. We call that the Pat Brown effect!

Some of the things we talk about include Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), how to find a good team to handle finances, cryptocurrency, Pat's first ever investment, why you should stay away from investing in a restaurant (most of the time), and what it felt like to set a university record.

Kris Walker has spent over 30 years empowering clients to overcome addiction and shame as a mental health technician, addiction counselor, and treatment center administrator. When I think about having hard conversations, I often think of the  moments where vulnerable people are navigating trauma and hardship through counseling. Talking with Kris was a great way to understand the power of compassionate counseling, the importance of loving people unconditionally, and why we should always feed the good wolf. I'm grateful for people who work in counseling roles because they are having conversations that matter.

Jeremy Pearson is a 3rd year PhD student at the University of Kansas studying muscle stem cell activity in response to exercise. Jeremy has published multiple research articles examining how to build muscle and lose body fat via exercise and nutritional strategies. On top of that, he has been a competitive bodybuilder for over a decade. He is a great example of someone who can simplify scientific study in a way that unscientific people can understand.
