Rapper DMX Health UPDATE Earl Simmons Rapper Passed Away At AGE 50. DMX, a rapper who is known as much for his troubles as his music, has died, his family announced in a statement. He was 50.  "We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50-years-old at White Plains Hospital with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days," family's statement read in part. "Earl was a warrior who fought till the very end," the family continued. "He loved his family with all of his heart and we cherish the times we spent with him."

Joe Biden Ghost Gun Control and Amazon Becoming A Union.  As demand for e-commerce skyrocketed during the pandemic, some employees at an Amazon facility in Bessemer, AL, grew fed up with working conditions, and started an effort to join the Retail, Wholesale, and Department Store Union (RWDSU). Some of their specific complaints included

Calling gun violence in the US an "epidemic" and an "international embarrassment," President Biden yesterday outlined a few steps aimed at tackling the problem.

But as executive orders, not actual laws, these moves are more a tremor than an earthquake. Biden would like to see far more gun control legislation, including a ban on assault weapons and the lifting of legal immunity for firearms manufacturers, but he won't get very far without support from Republicans in Congress...which he doesn't have.
