Conservative peer Lord Ed Vaizey has told TalkTV that “the BBC leadership should grow a pair and should have defended Gary Lineker” over his tweets criticising government policy. Speaking on Jeremy Kyle Live, the former Tory MP criticised the BBC for tying themselves in knots based on its own guidelines, came to blows with journalist Rod Liddle.
