🚨 The Podcast is LIVE: From Data to Defense
How Any Organization Can Spot Criminals in Their Network
Most organizations already buy threat intelligence.
So why are attackers still getting in?
Because yesterday’s threat data doesn’t stop today’s attacks.
In the latest episode of Cyber Safe with AJ, I sit down with Derek Huyser, Co-Founder of Streaming Defense, to unpack a hard truth: traditional threat intelligence feeds and delayed alerts are no match for modern adversaries.
📉 The time to exploit a vulnerability has dropped to zero days.
⚡ Attackers move in hours — sometimes minutes.
📨 Alerts often arrive after the damage is already done.
So what’s the fix?
🔎 Real-Time Visibility Changes Everything
Many organizations rely heavily on firewalls with limited block lists due to performance constraints. But static controls create blind spots — especially for small and mid-sized teams with limited resources.
If you can’t see what’s happening on your network right now, you’re already behind.
🩺 Continuous Threat Intelligence Health Assessments
Threat intelligence can’t be a quarterly review or a once-a-day feed update. It must be continuous.
In this episode, we break down:
🤖 AI-Powered, Explainable Risk
We also explore how AI can:
The key isn’t just collecting more data — it’s making that data work for your specific environment.
🛡️ A Holistic, Platform-Agnostic Defense Strategy
Streaming Defense operates as a passive sensor, enhancing visibility without forcing organizations to rip and replace existing tools. The goal isn’t to add noise — it’s to add clarity.
💡 Bottom Line:
Threat intelligence must be live, continuous, and directly tied to your network. Attackers don’t wait — and your defenses can’t either.

💡 AI & Cyber Safety: Staying Grounded in a Digital World
In 2019, I experienced a cybercrime that shook me to my core. It wasn’t just financial — it challenged my confidence, my trust, and my sense of safety online.
Today, with AI creating content faster and more convincingly than ever, the digital world can feel overwhelming. Deepfakes, manipulated media, and sophisticated phishing are on the rise — and it’s easy to feel alone in navigating it all.
But here’s what I’ve learned: we are not alone, and there are steps we can take to protect ourselves.
1️⃣ Pause & Reflect
Before clicking, reacting, or sharing — stop. Take a moment to assess. Impulse is the hacker’s ally.
2️⃣ Ask: “Is This Real?”
AI can create content that looks real. Verify sources, cross-check information, and trust your instincts.
3️⃣ Lean on Your Community
Talk with friends, colleagues, and family about what you see online. Sharing knowledge strengthens everyone’s defenses.
4️⃣ Educate & Act
Knowledge is power. Learn the tools, understand the risks, and put simple, actionable steps in place to reduce future risk.
Cybercrime can feel isolating — but by pausing, reflecting, and connecting, we regain control. And together, we build a safer, more resilient digital world.

💛 Rebounding & Rebalancing After a Cybercrime
3 Steps to Rebuilding Confidence in a Digital World
Today, I’m sharing one of the most personal videos I’ve ever created.
When I experienced a cybercrime in 2019, it didn’t just impact my finances — it shook my confidence, my identity, and my sense of safety. What I learned through that season is that healing isn’t linear… but it is possible.
This audio is about the journey back — the rebalance, the recovery, and the reclaiming of your digital confidence.
Here are the 3 steps that helped me rebuild:
1️⃣ Pause, Reflect, Ground Yourself
Before moving forward, you have to give yourself permission to slow down. Breathe. Process what happened. Regain your footing. Groundedness is where clarity begins.
2️⃣ Share Your Story
Isolation is where fear grows. Sharing with family, friends, colleagues — or even communities like this — reminds you that you’re not alone. Support restores strength.
3️⃣ Learn & Take Action
Education becomes empowerment. Understanding how to reduce future risk and putting a simple, actionable plan in place gives you back control in a digital world that can feel overwhelming.
This post isn’t about the crime — it’s about the comeback.
And if you’re going through something similar, I want you to know: you can rise again, stronger and more grounded than before.
Thank you for watching, supporting, and walking this journey with me.
💛 We heal through reflection.
💛 We rebuild through connection.
💛 We rise through education.
