When we ask for good things, do we ever stop to ask ourselves if we’re truly ready for the responsibility that comes with them?

In this episode of Talk With Becky, I take that conversation to the camera, and I want us to reflect together: even the beautiful things we desire in life often come with matope—the mud, the mess, the weight.

Thank you for joining me once again—our journey continues, and I’m so excited to announce that Season 2 of Talk With Becky is finally here!

In this very first episode, we’re diving into a powerful theme: “Remember Grace.”

Before we explore what that means, let’s take a moment to reflect on the word “remember.”

In Hebrew, the word “Zakar” is used. It doesn’t just mean to recall something mentally—it means to call something to mind with intention, to not forget, to act on that remembrance.

While preparing and filming this episode, I knew I wanted to start Season 2 with something real and necessary—something we all need. Grace came to mind immediately. But more than that, I had a personal encounter that stirred something deeper. It caused me to Zakar—to intentionally remember—God’s grace.

That moment made me pause and ask:

Do we remember grace when we’re dealing with others?

Or do we only Zakar grace when it benefits me, myself, and I?

So I leave you with this question to carry into today’s episode:

How do you remember grace?

Discussions about money are always important yet delicate.

In Episode 5, Elizabeth said something very intriguing, and I will paraphrase:

“When you get married, the idea is to forsake self and understand that you are one. Fortunately, my husband and I shared this belief: there is money—it is our money. There is no such thing as my money or his money—it’s our money.”

Hearing her say that was truly remarkable, especially given how much things have changed in today’s world.

Joseph leads Elta, a creative and marketing agency, manages two artists, serves on the board of House of Hope Africa, and actively participates in short-term mission teams with Charis and Africa Freedom Mission. He is happily married to Beth, and together they share their home with two beloved dogs.

Elizabeth Zulu is a pharmacist with a love for exploring new horizons, both in her travels and creative pursuits. When she's not at work, you can find her designing graphics or curating beautiful spaces. A self-proclaimed introvert, Elizabeth cherishes quality time with loved ones, including her husband Taonga, whom she's delighted to have shared the last four years with.

Elizabeth is a behaviour management specialist for children who have intellectual disabilities. She is a wife, a mom and a christian whose greatest passion is to impact those around her with the love of Christ. She is a song writer, sketch artist, and staunch tree lover.

Fun fact: Elizabeth loves vitumbuwa and only considered dating her now husband because he didn't refuse her offer to take him out on a vitumbuwa date lol

Favorite food: Anything yummy will do, she doesn't blame Esau for giving up his birthright, that mbuzi soup must have been heavenly 🙈🤣
