In this episode I give my thoughts on the institution of America, her ideals, practices and the things gone unsaid and done that reared their head on the Capitol yesterday. I give my thoughts and reaction to the storming of the Senate yesterday 1/6/2021 and how unsurprising it was and is to a lot of Americans that are minority. Will we be better to one another instead of trying to benefit ourselves in spite of one another? Does America have the strength to deal with it's past transgressions in order to move forward so yesterday doesn't happen again? We will see and I will pray.

I catch you guys up on what's been going on in my life since the last recording, my apologies. We talk about the upcoming election, thoughts on the two Presidential debates and the VP debate also. Expedited confirmations in the Senate and the growing list of distasteful tactics being used in the name of politics.

My thoughts on the assassinations of Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd. I speak on no knock warrants, excessive force, riots/looting. I talk about a conversation I have with my son and the dangers that he will face, no parent should have to take away some of their child's innocence and replace it with cautiousness. What it means to be black in America and where it has all of this come from. Share and keep listening. Treat others with the compassion and love that you have for your loved ones and see the bridges you build and the hearts that are brought together.

My thoughts about the rumors of the corona virus, those at the front lines and those that have been affected by this pandemic worse than others. Politics, disenfranchisement and what will happen if we don't adjust and change for our collective future. Just my thoughts on all of it and it is pretty sad and daunting to look at how things aren't slowing down when we are trending towards opening everything back up.  Please be safe everyone and as always I love each and every one of you. Talk Your Truth is back with an episode about a recent conversation that I had with a coworker about gentrification and their support of it. In this episode I frame the conversation and our differing opinions on the subject and how all of this can be contributed to ignorance and a lack of empathy that we have for one another. I speak about a young fan throwing something during a game a Lebron "Bronny" James Jr, Lebron's reaction, my thoughts and what it all really means. Lebron said "Hating has no age limit" but is it deeper than that? Would this be acceptable behavior if it was Tom Brady's son? Are athletes gifted human beings or beings that are gifted that are no longer seen as human? I speak on all of this and how we can do better to stop this type of childish behavior and blame our "love for the game".
