The history of Guide Dogs UK all started with two pioneers of their time, Rosamund Bond and Muriel Crooke, this innovating duo were trailblazers enabling the UK to join the European phenomenon of training dogs to guide the blind.
They began the first training program with only four furry friends; Flash, Folly, Judy and Meta, who were trained in a lockup in The Wirral in 1931.
