Talkin' Folk

Start the week right with some motown and soul. Impossible not to like the song Wish You Were Here by Lee Fields. IMPOSSIBLE, I say.a

Two songs off the Lumineers first album from 2012. Flowers in your Hair captures the growth you go through from child to adult. Dead Sea is a really creative way to tell someone they are your rock.

You guys know what an interabang is?! I had no idea and learned while recording this. Fun times!

Two songs from Mipso's newest album. This is the first request episode, which means it's my first reaction to the songs as well.

I feel so silly for being late to Maggie Rogers. I listened to Alaska no less than 25 times this past weekend.

Tallest Man on Earth, Jeffrey Foucault, Father John Misty, Brian Fallon and Vanessa Carlton.

Two songs from Kings of Leon third album, Because of the Times. The struggles of letting people get close to you and the frustration of looking back on mistakes and not being able to stop the youth from making the same.

We're talkin' the Swedish Söderberg Sisters! Two songs off their second album The Lions Roar.

The first two songs that got me hooked on The Avett Brothers. Both songs cover the same story, the raw desperation and hopeless optimism of trying to keep a relationship together.

Two songs from The Gaslight Anthems debut album, Sink or Swim.
