Day 2 of the Elite 8 was whatever in Game 1 as Gonzaga just curb stomped USC in a blowout game. But in Game 2 was where things got very interesting as Mick Cronin and the Bruins of Westwood (aka UCLA) took Michigan down to the wire where the Bruins ultimately claimed victory and punched their ticket to the Final Four for the first time since 2008. Lonzo was heavily doubted coming out of UCLA largely in part to his father LaVar’s comments early in his career but in his 4th season in the league he is easily the X-factor for the New Orleans Pelicans and will get paid handily in his next contract with whatever team that might be. I then go into the Atlanta Hawks’ decision to fire Lloyd Pierce yesterday and name Nate McMillan the interim Head coach. Tap in ‼️
