We, as black people, come in all shades and it's true blessing. But society tends to want to turn that in to a curse and pit light vs. dark. With the recent drama with Thandiwe Newton and Hollywood's casting practices when it comes to our shade, we decided to have an honest and frank discuss on how colorism effected us, mainly black women. Joining in the conversation are Helaine from 2 1/2 Black Women and journalist, Rain Augustine, as they bring their insight and experience dealing with colorism in the media and in daily life.
