About Talkin' Torque
From the publisher's feed
Talkin’ Torque takes listeners inside the real worlds of motorsport and heavy industry—where performance, precision, and pressure define success. Hosted by Colin Livingston, the show goes beyond the highlight reel to unpack the decisions, setbacks, engineering challenges, and leadership moments that shape racing teams and industrial operations alike.
Livingston brings a rare dual perspective. He is the founder and president of CanTorque, a Canadian company specializing in industrial bolting, torque, and tensioning solutions, with roots in the sector dating back to the mid-1990s. His career has spanned field operations, equipment development, and scaling a business from a small operation into a major supplier serving industrial clients across North America.
At the same time, he’s deeply embedded in motorsport—competing in karting across Canada and the U.S., working as a crew member and spotter at the professional level, and collaborating with teams and drivers in series ranging from grassroots karting to NASCAR.
Racing has been a lifelong passion, evolving from a childhood fascination into hands-on experience as a driver, crew member, sponsor, broadcaster, and team owner.
Each episode blends business acumen with racing insight, featuring candid conversations about risk, innovation, leadership, failure, and the pursuit of performance—delivered with a practical, down-to-earth tone that reflects the shop floor and the paddock.
Whether you’re an entrepreneur, engineer, racer, or fan of high-performance culture, Talkin’ Torque connects the dots between industry and motorsport—and the people who thrive in both.
