What does a #wasteaudit entail? Forst, you have to get a large sample of the landfill #trash, #recycling, and #foodwaste materials. Then, you sort each samole to identify materials that were properly discarded into the correct stream and any cross-contamination of mayerials that don’t belong. Next, each material, like glass, metals, paper, and cardboard, plastics, and food waste are separated and weighed as individual categories of materials to get a cross-sectional view of the recycling rate and the contamination rate.
