Welcome to another episode of #TalkingBackToTheTeacher 

It's #BlackHistoryMonth and to share a bit of #HamHistory, I have to speak about the late Dr. Najee E. Muhammad. When our lives crossed paths, I was a senior at Ohio University. He was teaching a 400 level course on Diversity in Education. I actually was the only senior African American male in the College of Education at the time. So when I was enrolled in his summer course, I was excited to say the least. Class was a trip and his impact helped mold me who I am.

My guest, Travis, lets us know what its like to have a career of service in the U.S. Air Force

We chop it up from almost 4,000 miles apart and he spills the goods about the Air Force. This is the first episode feature a former student of mine who has chosen a path that consists of the military.

Malyssa joins us for this fun talk and stroll down memory lane. We linked up in Atlanta, Georgia and this past fall. We talked about high school and the lessons that we have learned and carried with us since our time in in Florida. I’ve known this one for more than a dozen years so we have walked through our fair share of experiences together. I mentioned that we ate some great food, grabbed a couple sticks to puff on, and generally had a blast. We also ventured to McDonough for a day and had a blast.

I tie a story from January 2023 to a #HamHistory story from July of 1996, in my hometown. Punishment or Discipline? You can decide for yourself.
