The You Matter charity beard and mustache competition has taken the "bearding" community by storm, quickly becoming one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. This year, the event promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with 14 different beard and mustache styles on display, as well as a creative "build off" for those looking to show off their crafty skills.
Hosted at the Historic Casino Hall in La Grange TX, this event is not to be missed. Shannon Clinkenbeard, the event organizer, joins Talking Beards to give us the inside scoop on all the exciting details. With a long list of generous sponsors, there will be plenty of great raffle and auction items up for grabs.
But this event is more than just a fun competition. It's a chance to give back to the community. All proceeds from the event will benefit The Wellness Council of the Greater Colorado Valley, a local charity doing important work to promote health and wellness in the area.

The Circus of Whiskers is not just any ordinary facial hair competition. It's a naughty carnival where weirdness and creativity come together to create an unforgettable experience. To enter the event, we kindly request a cash donation of $25. But trust us when we say it's worth every penny. With intermission performances by The Big Icky, burlesque performances by Magenta DeMure, Marina Casanova, Sophia Von Stardust, Sweet Handsome Two Heart, and drag performances by Xanadu Shee & JahJah Shee, you're guaranteed a night full of entertainment.
And if that wasn't enough reason to attend this amazing event, all proceeds will be donated to Detroit Animal Welfare Group (DAWG). DAWG is an incredible organization made up of over 100 volunteers who are dedicated to helping animals in need. From neglected pets to sick animals and even homeless critters, they do whatever it takes to make sure these furry friends are taken care of.
