Talking Benefits with Friends

Rocke Blair, CEBS (HUB International) talks with Peg about what employers/401(k) plan sponsors can do to increase retirement readiness of their plan members.  Health care cost analysis can reveal areas where cost savings can be achieved and applied to retirement plans or financial assistance plans.

Does anyone remember Secure Act 1.0?  Peg's guest Laura Ryan (with Thompson Hine LLP) clears up the confusion of recent 401(k) legislation (and proposed legislation) and gets to what plan sponsors must give attention to now:  the requirements of Secure Act 1.0.  Laura focuses on what is coming up very soon - as in Q2 2022 - that plan sponsors must understand and comply with.

Peg talks with Patricia Beaty, ERISA specialist with Taft Law in Indianapolis, about when a plan sponsor needs the help of an attorney.

Peg talks with Rocke Blair, HUB International about why employees don't retire on their "Normal Retirement Date" (age 65).  How does this affect your company's benefits costs?  What can an employer do to help employees plan for retirement on the day of their choosing?

Peg talks with Lindsay Rink, Communications Consultant with USI, about Communications strategies that will grab your employees' attention, increase their benefits awareness and spur them into action.

Peg talks with Tony Malagari, Partner and Consultant with McGohan Brabender, about what you should ask for and expect from your benefits broker/consultant.  Hint:  Don't settle for mediocre!
