Welcome to part one of two of the Talking Games Game of the Year shows. This week sees Bobby, Kelsey, Matt, Justin and Huw debate a series of categories down to a list of five nominees and then decide which of those five are declared the winner. You'll see the early battle lines being drawn and declarations of intent laid out by your hosts when they talk about these categories in readiness for next week's part two: The Talking Games Top 10 Games of the Year!

This week on Talking Games, Kelsey, Bobby, Matt and Huw dive into the games they've been playing. Including Monster Hunter: World, Celeste, Ultimate Chicken Horse and a competitive date night at the arcade for Kelsey. We also discuss the ramifications of Star Wars Battlefront II's missing sales projections and EA's handling of their business of late. All that and we take a dive into the games we're looking forward to this year.

Get Back to Talking Games! This week Matt and Huw take The Long and Winding Road that is video games together without a Little Help From My Friends. It's All Too Much as they chat about Matt's discovery of the musical marvel that is Beatles Rock Band and how it's nigh on impossible to find any peripherals for it, anywhere! Meanwhile, Huw takes us on a journey in his (not so) Yellow Submarine into the aquatic survival game Subnautica. Rounded off with a few news items you should probably check out this week's show, because Tomorrow Never Knows what's round the corner.

As the games industry continues its slow return from the holiday slumber, Sam, Bobby and Huw delve into some games, rumors and news this week. On the docket this week we have Tacoma, Thimbleweed Park, Bridge Constructor Portal, Battle Chef Brigade and more. The crew also delve into some juicy rumors as to what the coming months hold for the Nintendo Switch and discuss the opening day of the Overwatch League's inaugural season. To cap it all off, we doff our respective headgear in celebration of Kelsey's birthday this coming Saturday!

Welcome to 2018! Sam, Kelsey & Matt ring in the New Year talking about resolutions and rememberlutions! We're trying to get caught up for GOTY with talk of Zelda, Mario, Horizon Zero Dawn & Assassin's Creed Origins! And we take a look at the new games we are most excited for in 2018.
