Kenneth (K.L.) Cleeton is embedded in the poker world in many ways. First as a player, then as a streamer, tool developer and all around poker advocate. Known as Highands89 on Global Poker and other platforms, K.L. has had quite the journey in his poker career while facing a major challenge of living with the debilitating condition of Spinal Muscular Atrophy. In this podcast with Sean, he’s quite candid about his disability and advocates strongly for the disability community. He also reveals his new software tool, Range Trainer Pro https://rangetrainer.app/ which he designed with a couple of partners. Cleeton recounts the highlight of his road to the WSOP by winning a contest put on by non other than Kid Poker himself, Daniel Negreanu! On the drive from his home in Illinois to Vegas the van customized for his disability bit the bullet (but he and his Dad made it) to play the Main Event in 2017. He’s now looking to get a new one and the poker community has answered the call by setting up: https://gofund.me/0f63adfc
K.L. is not only an inspiration in poker but life in general.

Higher stake tournament regs will recognize this weeks guest, winning Global grinder, Iowan Taylor Howard, known on the streets as weSHALLgambol. Friendly rivals, Sean and Taylor recall some of their clashes on the felt and an onerous table mate. Taylor takes us through his poker journey and recounts how he was jarred back to earth, nearly going broke after basking in his first big score. Instead of retreating from the game, it was the motivation for him to get real and dive into serious studying. He talks about balancing being a full time poker player with family life as well as covering many other poker topics such as the benefits of belonging to a stable and the importance of being well versed in the intricacies of ICM. An easy to listen, informative episode for even the most casual players.
We also get an update from Sean on a controversy he revealed last year.

Tommy Angelo started playing poker at the age of 14, many years ago. His path took him to coaching but Tommy is no garden variety poker coach. His unique, mindful teachings emphasize the mental game with lifestyle options for both recreational players and top pros such as Phil Galfond. Tommy tells Sean about some of the not so obvious tools he applies to enhance his students, rediscovering passion for poker is just one of them.
He’s also a prolific author of poker books. You can find them at www.TommyAngelo.com, an active player and ambassador of the game.
There’s so much good information in this episode, you will be glad you listened.
