Danny Summerhays comes from a long line of accomplished sports figures. Hs grandfather was Pres Summerhays, the baseball coach at the University of Utah. His uncle Bruce played on the PGA Tour, was a local golf professional and when he turned fifty, qualified and won on the Champions tour. Brother Boyd also played on tour and is now the golf coach for Tony Finau. Brothers, sisters and his many cousins are all accomplished players.

Danny sat down with me after each of his first two rounds at Chambers Bay and discussed a number of different items including his being on the leader board of the UUnited States Open Championship.
