XFINITY- Erik Jones wins, nice weekend for the 19 year old driver. swept both the truck race at Iowa and the XFINITY Series race at Chicagoland. Jones is showing he is a top young driver in the sport right now.

 

Ryan Blaney finished 2nd. He was the fastest car there. Went from the rear of the field after crashing in happy hour and finished runner-up

 

Chris Buescher manages a decent finish.  5th spot, stayed out on a caution when NASCAR opened/closed pit road. Big benefit for him. Got track position, never gave it up.

 

Buescher now leads Ty Dillon by 29 points. Dillon finished 9th. Gotta do better in an X-Only race.

 

Lap 151- Dylan Lupton brings out caution and NASCAR race control calls Pit Road Open. The problem is the flag man either didn’t hear it or had a major brain fart and failed to make the light green coming down pit road. What happened was drivers went down pit road with the red light resulting in a penalty for those drivers. Craziness and sad we even had to deal with it.

Today on Talking In Circles we discuss all things from the rain soaked weekend at Michigan International Speedway. Kurt Busch's 27th career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory. Who had a great weekend who had a bad weekend? 

Also we discuss the rumor about Furniture Row Racing moving to Toyota. Is there merit to it and why would the organzation, who is having their best season in 2015, make such a drastic move? 

Also we talk about the potential new rule changes coming to NASCAR. Looks like the rule changes will take effect at Kentucky Speedway although that hasn't been confirmed yet. Sounds like NASCAR is leaning towards track specific templates and we'll discuss whether that's a good move or a bad move and whether NASCAR is making the right decision by making these changes so fast. 

Also Jack Roush discussed NASCAR's new laser procedure and how he feels the laser is not always accurate. Roush said on Sirius XM NASCAR Radio that the weather sometimes throws it off and teams understand that and try and find the grey area to make those adjustments. Also teams had trouble getting through tech inspection Friday during qualifying. What does that mean now that the comments Roush said?

Also Kyle Busch won the Xfinity Series race on Saturday. Won in his first race back in the Xfinity Series. We discuss what that means for the rest of the competition and who is the favorite to win the championship in that series right now. Next week's race is in Chicagoland. 

Also NASCAR Camping World Truck Series- Cole Custer wins, Matt Crafton crashes. Reddick is 19 points behind Crafton. Trucks move to Iowa this week.

On this episode of Talking in Circles we breakdown the Axalta We Paint Winners 400 at Pocono Raceway. Martin Truex Jr won his 3rd career race and Furniture Row Racing are in the Chase. Big win for them and Truex.

Michael Waltrip Racing announced a crew chief change this morning, flipping Brian Pattie and Billy Scott. Scott moves to the No. 15 car with Clint Bowyer and Pattie moves to the No. 55 Toyota with David Ragan. We discuss what these changes mean for the organization and whether or not the team made the right move. 

Also the No. 48 team failed inspection twice during pre race inspection Sunday at Pocono. Should they recieve a stiffer penalty even though Knaus wasn't on probation? 

Greg Biffle had a little mixup with NASCAR during qualifying. Biffle crossed the line on tv with about a second to go and NASCAR claimed that wasn't the case because according to their timing Biffle was too late. He ended up 22nd which would have transfered him into the round but NASCAR said he was too late. How can something like that happen in a major professional sport? Also Denny Hamlin's spin in the last round of qualifying kept teams off the board and Hamlin ended up 7th. Is that fair and could this create an issue later on down the road? 

Also Kyle Busch is back behind the wheel of an Xfinity Series car this weekend as he drives the No. 54 Toyota for the 1st time since his crash at Daytona in February. How will he do? Should he be here? We'll talk about that as well.

Jimmie Johnson’s 10th victory at Dover. 74th of his career. Johnson now leads the sport in victories in 2015 with 4.

Kevin Harvick finished in the 2nd position but the race came down to strategy at the end. Johnson and Harvick stayed out on old tires and beat drivers with 2 drivers and were able to pull away and win.

Martin Truex Jr has another strong car. Can’t close the deal. Pretty tough time for him. It makes you wonder if they’re gonna win this year at all.

Hamlin was strong, wrecked by Bowyer. Bowyer says he didn’t mean to do it.

 

Kenseth- broken suspension. KB had a problem as well.

NASCAR has been kind of debating back and fourth on what to do with the 2016 rule package. It was assumed that they would run it at Charlotte for the All-Star race but now that's not the case at all. Will we see any changes at all? and we'll give our opinions on the 2015 rule package and whether or not we like it. Is it a step in the right direction? 

Eric McClure is moving teams, jumping from JGL Racing back to Tri-Star Motorsports. Why? Will this help Tri-Star Motorsports more or JGL more?

On tonight's episode of Talking in Circles; we discuss this weekend's events at Talladega Superspeedway. The NASCAR Xfinity Series race was clouded with controversy as Joey Logano won the Winn-Dixie 300, but the rules in the NASCAR Xfinity Series prohibit drivers from "push drafting." It was evident that no matter how big or how small, there was push drafting during that race, and some think that there should have been a different winner. 

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, the Geico 500 was the exact opposite today. There was an early "big one" that was caused when Trevor Bayne got sideways in front of the field. This took out some early contenders in the race. 

Other than that, there wasn't much action. Everyone was anticipating the others making their move with around 20 laps to go. No one did. No moves were made. A couple of drivers tried to get out of line, but no one gave them any help and Dale Earnhardt, Jr went on to the victory. 

We'll discuss the strategy of the end of the race, and what just may be going through people's head at the end of the race.

On today's episode of Talking in Circles, Clayton, Brandon, and BeyondtheFlag.com's John Harlow will discuss the big news of yesterday, which is the fact that GoDaddy.com has announced that they will not be back with Danica Patrick for 2016. 

We will talk about the implications this could bring on Danica's career, and how it will be affected, as well as the reason why GoDaddy.com decided to make this move and how this is a black eye for the sport as a whole.

We will also discuss what other options Stewart-Haas Racing could have for this 10 car if Danica is not brought back.
