We discuss Stephen's motivation in bringing the spotlight of his writings to the 1940's WWII era. We discuss the research that went into bringing the realistic details to the landscapes, weapons and characters of The Bullet Garden. Stephen Hunter has written over twenty-five novels. He retired as the chief film critic for The Washington Post, where he won the 2003 Pulitzer Prize for Distinguished Criticism, he has also published two collections of film criticism and a nonfiction work, American Gunfight. His book Point Of Impact was made into the hit 2007 movie Shooter staring Mark Wahlberg
