Kemi Badenoch.... The new leader of the Conservative party was up at the dispatch box for her second PMQ's. It wasn't the glowing performance that I am sure she was hoping for. However, it also wasn't a stellar performance from Sir Keir, so that may provide her some comfort!

What else is happening in Parliament this week? Well there is the big Assisted Dying bill being brought to the house. While this is quite a somber topic, it is incredibly important in the national conversation and it is right that as a country, we are finally talking about it!

And finally, there is always President-Elect Trump to provide some good (and funny) decisions as he is preparing to take office in January!

We are back!! And boy has it been an incredibly busy couple of weeks in the world of policitcs.

We have had the first budget delivered by a female chancellor, we have had the first convicted felon to be elected to the white house and the first black woman to be leader of a Westminster party. It really has been a week of firsts!!

The internet is something that the majority of us will use on a daily basis and even more so for the younger generation. With the developments in technology, staying safe in the digital world can be incredibly difficult!

It's the summer recess for Parliament in the UK, but that doesn't mean the fun stops here at Talking Pollocks. Even though the house is not sitting, there is plenty of ongoing events for us to discuss!

With MANY countries now issuing travel advice to their citizens who maybe travelling to the UK, we discuss the ongoing riots across the UK which were sparked by the horrific deaths of 3 young girls and then a deluge of misinformation spreading online! Who is responsible for these riots and the misinformation that has caused it?

It's not a simple topic and we do not tar everyone with the same brush! It is important to say that these rioters do not represent everyone in the UK and it was a heart warming moment when the Anti-Racism protests showed that we are better than this!!

Parliament has officially opened for business following the election, and of course we did it with all the pomp & Ceremony that we Brits are known for!! Out king paraded down the Mall and made his way to the Palace of Westminster to deliver his King's Speech and officially open Parliament!

In this speech, they announced a whopping 40 new (well they say new) Bills that they will be introducing over the course of the next parliament. So what exactly are the new labour government going to be doing to Change the country for the better? What Bills have they carried over from the last government?
