In this episode, Cate, a freshman at Loyola University Chicago, and I discuss her experience growing up in the Presbyterian church while discovering her sexuality. We talk about how queer religious trauma plays a role in society, and Cate’s own faith journey, and moments where she found power and beauty in religion. Lastly we discuss representation of queer religious people and the Christian church in the media and in our lives.
