Smooth jazz singer and songwriter Michael Franks is best known for his songs,  When I Give My Love to You, Popsicle Toes, Monkey See, Monkey Do, Tiger in the Rain, Rainy Night in Tokyo, and Tell Me All About It.  His new "Time Together" includes guest artists, Chuck Loeb, Gil Goldstein, Mark Egan, Charles Blenzig, Scott Petito, Veronica Nunn, Billy Kilson, Mike Manieri, David Spinozza, Romero Lubambo, Till Brönner and Eric Marienthal to name a few.  Join us as we talk to Mr. Franks about his new cd and career.

"DIG" is an unusual come-together between different jazz artists of the major stages across the world: Each "DIG" band member has a list of impressive credits as performers, recording artists, composers, and producers.  Together they often shared the stage in different combinations and occasions - at recordings as well as performances.

Ronnie Laws’ name is virtually synonymous with good music. True Laws fans know, this gifted contemporary music artist is by no means a new comer to the business.  A native of Houston, Texas, the third in a famous line of four musicians that include his classically trained Jazz flautist brother, Hubert, and his vocalist sisters, Eloise and Debra.  We welcome Ronnie to talk about his current cd, Voices In The Water.

International jazz artist Eric Darius, who is touring the nation to promote his latest album “On A Mission,” is sharing his personal story to inspire youths to express themselves through music, challenge stereotypes and follow their dreams.  Eric kicked off his “On A Mission” national campaign to promote musical education in schools on March 17 and returns to Talking Smooth Jazz to talk about it.  We will also play music from his On A Mission cd.
