The Pitt Digital Talking Tech Podcast launches this week with Episode 1 on the Pre-Arrival Digital Essentials Checklist
New students have a lot to do, so we'll help you do it a little faster. Get software, stay protected, and be more productive than ever—before you arrive on campus—with these perks you get from Pitt Digital.
One Password for Everything
Pitt Passport is the University’s single sign-on service used to access web-based services such as myPitt, Software Download Service, Student Information System (PeopleSoft), and many others. See how Pitt Passport protects you.
Browse the Pitt App Center
From viewing class assignments to checking the Panthers’ score and avoiding lines at lunch, there are dozens of University-related mobile apps for iOS and Android phones. Go to the Pitt App Center.
Get Yourself Connected
You’ll find two networks across campus: MyResNet in all rooms, commons spaces and dining facilities in residence halls; PittNet in academic and administrative buildings. Make sure your phone, laptop, and other devices can connect to residence hall Wi-Fi the moment you arrive on campus by registering them before you get here. Register your devices before you arrive.
Take the Pain Out of Passwords
For services that don’t use Pitt Passport, Pitt Digital offers a promo code for students to get a free 1Password Personal Password Manager plan. Use it to generate and save secure passwords that you can access from all of your devices. View account options and enroll.
Check Your Pitt Email
Access your University email from anywhere and keep it after graduation. You can even personalize your Pitt email address. Learn how to access email on your phone.
