Paul Ellen began his broadcasting career in Haley Center on the Auburn University campus. He was part of the group that literally built WEGL nearly 50 years ago. He went on to call Auburn Baseball and was part of a Collee World Series team featuring Joe Beckwith and Terry Leach. For two years he called Auburn Football then returned to the Tigers’ broadcast booth in 1990. He began a sting of 30 years as the host for the Auburn Football broadcasts. Last year Paul joined me in Omaha, Nebraska, for yet another Auburn Baseball team playing in the College World Series. A man of many talents, Paul Ellen is featured in this Talking Tigers Podcast, presented by Wickles Pickles.

Yesterday, the Southeastern Conference announced plans for a fall season for soccer, volleyball and cross country. The football season is set, a conference-only slate that begins September 26th due to Covid-19. Auburn will face Kentucky at Jordan-Hare Stadium in front over under 20,000 fans. Like the rest of the country, Auburn is dealing with the issue of civil unrest and racial equality. These are just a few concerns that Auburn’s Director of Athletics, Allen Greene, has faced this summer. Attendance for home football games, the athletics budget, and most of all safety for the student athletes are all featured with Auburn A-D Allen Greene in this special Talking Tigers Podcast, presented by Wickles Pickles.

Former Tiger and current Assistant Coach Wes Flanigan co-hosts these interviews with Andy Burcham. Bryce Brown and Jared Harper were in the midst of their first seasons of professional ball when COVID shut everything down. Both were key parts of the SEC Championship team in 2018, plus the SEC Tournament Champions and the Final Four team in 2019. Bryce left Auburn as the school's most prolific three point shooter. Jared was arguably this school's greatest point guard. Bryce Brown & Jared Harper are featured in this Talking Tigers Podcast, presented by Wickles Pickles.
