  • S1 Ep61: Dale McNamara-Melissa Luellen
Dale McNamara started the University of Tulsa women's golf program. She had no coaching experience. In a 26 year, Hall of Fame career, she coached the Golden Hurricane to four national championships. As a matter of fact, Tulsa won the last AIAW National Title and first NCAA championship in the same year! In 1988, her daughter, Melissa, was a senior. After a long pro career, Melissa Luellen took over for her mother at Tulsa, won an NCAA title at Arizona State and guided Auburn to the Final Four last year. • S1 Ep59: Hal Baird
On May 27, 2000, Hal Baird coached his final game as Auburn's baseball coach. The Tiger fell to Stetson in the Atlanta Regional, 13-10. During his time at Auburn, Baird guided the Tigers to a pair of SEC Tournament Championships and two trips to the College World Series. Big leaguers Gregg Olson, Bo Jackson, Scott Sullivan, Frank Thomas, Mark Bellhorn, David Ross and Tim Hudson, to name a few, played college baseball for Hal. When he stepped down, Baird was the winningest coach in Auburn athletics history. That mark stands today. Since his time as baseball coach, Baird spent time in Administration for Auburn Athletics.
