As you may or may not know I recently embarked on an initiative to mark various brands and companies “safe” from MAGA/MAHA - Meaning that they pledge to not spend ad dollars working with or promoting creators who spread dangerous dis/misinformation about either movement.
This was born from a desire to inform and give myself and members of my community a tangible call to action while reminding them that we vote daily with our spending.
Brands will fall into 1 of 5 groups :
* Marked Safe - Founder, CEO, representative makes the pledge.
* Marked Unsafe - Brand works with harmful creators by spending ad dollars and participating in various forms of cross promotion.
* Assumed Safe - Have not received confirmation but based on various evidence (ie public political callouts, charitable orgs they support etc) I can safely assume we are aligned.
* Assumed Not Safe - Based on public image and content can assume that they are likely MAHA aligned.
* Marked Apolitical - Have spoken to company representative and they have decided to remain apolitical as a company. The caveat here is that I don’t see anything pointing to MAHA affiliation ( I have seen several very MAHA aligned brands claim to be apolitical).
Please watch the video for more clarity and thank you for taking this on with me.
Together we can do great things.
