Episode 17 features Julia Person, Sustainability Manager at Widmer Brothers Brewery. Widmer Brothers co-founded the Oregon Brewshed Alliance which advocates for the protection of forests and watersheds. The 4th Annual Brewshed Brewfest on May 15th will benefit their mission.

Episode 16 features Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler. The mayor and I talked about Portland's new single-use plastics ordinance that, depending on what happens in Salem, is set to kick in July 1st.

Episode 15 features Mel Vinson, District Manager with Laughing Planet, a Portland-based quick-service restaurant that sources clean, whole foods from local farmers and ranchers.

Episode 14 features Barry Firth, of Biokleen, a line of plant-based cleaners that are made in Vancouver, Washington. Barry and his wife, Cindy Rimer are Biokleen's second generation of management.

Episode 13 features Tom Szaky, CEO and founder of TerraCycle, the company that's about to launch Loop. Loop is a zero-waste delivery system for food and other household items and starts in New York next month.

Episode 10 features Lauren Norris, Manager of the City of Portland's Master Recycler Program where she leads over 1600 volunteers.
