  • Floating on The Edge of Seventeen - TWB60

    Edge of Seventeen

A coming of age story about a girl just dealing with the trials and tribulations of being a teenager. The joy about this film is that it takes you along the emotional rollercoaster that spans thirty days this young lady's life. You feel the high and lows of what is a great depiction of the life of a teenager dealing with whatever good and bad comes her way.

    Bleed For This

Great story. Bad movie. With such a great cast, this movie lacked the emotional depth of say a Raging Bull and Rocky. Why is it that boxing movies or movies related to boxing feel the need to showcase more of the sport than the emotional and psychological aspect the athletic endures during training and after fighting. There was no need to show this character getting pummeled in the ring when he had to fight through so much after being broken by a tragic event not related to boxing.

  • The Arrival of Aliens From Outer Space - TWB59
An Appetizing Review: "Arrival", the new movie starring Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner. Based on the short story "The Story of Your Life" by Tim Chaing, Arrival is a metaphysical alien to Earth story which tells the story of a linguist who is recruited to help the government deal with an alien visitor.
    • We asked the question: What if humans had a simultaneous consciousness and could discern the future? If we know the future and there is no free will how does one exist with the knowledge of knowing what life indefinitely has in store for you?
    • Live in the now and be an alien in your own skin and look at the world and life with curiosity and the propensity to learn.
Scene Again: The Story of Your Life by Ted Chaing The Main Course Movie Dish: It Came From Outer Space (1953) is a movie about what? Aliens who have come to earth for some reason or another and only one person from the town nearby their landing spot knows of their arrival. Twilight Delight: The Monster Are Due on Maple Street is a quite enjoyable episode of the Twilight Zone about a different arrival of aliens from outer space. These aliens are clever and use humans to ultimately destroy themselves. Suggestions and Comments Call 520-775-1690 to leave a voicemail on Google VoiceEmail: [email protected]

    The Voice Actors strike.

    • Scott Witlin, the lawyer representing the video game companies, says voice actors "represent less than one tenth of 1 percent of the work that goes into making a video game." So "even though they are the top craftsmen in their field," Witlin says, "if we pay them under a vastly different system than the people who do the 99.9 percent of the work, that is going to create far more problems for the video game companies."Source: http://www.npr.org/sections/alltechconsidered/2016/10/22/498954253/voice-actors-strike-against-video-game-companies
Note From the Hosts This quote pretty much demeans voice actors and their efforts to make any project commission worth a grain of salt. Most of games today rely heavily on story and to tell those stories company higher actors. Video games are no different than animated movies which studios pay huge salaries for a name, a popular actor, so what's the difference. As long as the value is worth what you pay in the long run, why not compensate those who sacrifice their time and bodies to this sough after craft? Movie Course of The Week: Killer Klowns From Out of Space Just as ridulous as it sounds. This movie revealed no real plot other than the fact that a mysterious ship lands on earth and it's voyagers look like creepy deformed circus clowns who craved human juice candy. Suzanne Synder The woman with a familiar face who hasn't really acted in a while but you recognize her. She played Debbie in this movie, a gal mixed up in a love triangle with her current boyfriend and cop ex boyfriend, Dave ( John Allen Nelson). She also played Matthew Perry fiancé in Jerry's favorite romantic movie Fools Rush In. John Vernon Let's just say he chewed up the scenery in this picture and he's perfectly excused in doing so. Vernon was a notable actor who portrayed characters in the movies Dirty Harry and The Outlaw Josie Whales, he had a hell of a career acting in television, and voiced dozens of characters for animated features. i.e. Rupert Thorne From the Batman Series Truly The Creepiest Scenes in the Movie A large clown sitting outside a fast food restaurant attempts to lure a small girl outside, beckoning her to come forward with the flexing of his index finger, back and forth, back and forth, come her little girl so that I can clobber you with a mallet. Josh Vernon as a dummy cop with a clown controlling him by his spine. The Nose always Knows Wouldn't popping the clown's nose only to reveal it's true form been more effective? Movie Review: The Magnificent 7 Great cast for an underwhelming storyline. With characters as diverse as those who compose the dysfunctional gunslinger septuplets a little time and care into their backstories would welcome us to care more whether they live or die. • From The Mat To The Screen: Hulk Hogan - TWB52

This episode begins a series of recordings centered around stars from the wide world of wrestling who transitioned from the mat to the big screen.

Hulk Hogan was one the first prolific wrestlers from the Golden Age to attempt branching out of wrestling and extend his popularity to the movies where his over-the-top persona could possibly bloom a career apart from slaps, punches, and body slams.

    Movie Reviews

Chris watched "The Wild Life" and walked out. Apparently, this Robinson Curoso-esque movie could not hold his attention for the ninety-minute duration of the movie.

JJ watched "Sully "and explains this movie as Clint Eastwood fighting with kids gloves on. This was the story of the Landing on The Hudson without the Hollywood touch. Clint did his job with this film and just told the story as Captain Sullinger only landing the plane.

Chris Quote: "The perfect movie for your grandma."

Movie Suggestion of the Week: Suburban Commando

    1. Shelly Duvall

Did Stanley Kubrick break Shelly Duvall? She was good in this movie but seems to have hammed it up a lot.

Shelly hasn't been in a movie for some time and so we question why? Was it because she goes out of Hollywood or did Hollywood grow away from her?

    Chris's Favorite line reading:

Christopher Lloyd: "I was frozen today!"

    2. Starring Danny Devito and Arnold Schwarzenegger

The Twins were actually approached to partner up for a different version of this movie with less comedy and more action.

    3. Get 'em some props

The gun used by the bounty hunters were repurposed from Masters of the Universe and the tracker used was the PKE meter from Ghostbusters.

    4. Afterburner

Kid playing the video game was playing Afterburner. Shep either had a flashback from past interstellar battles or this movie was just poorly directed.

    5. From The Mat to The Screen

Why did Hogan's transition not go so well with him being and possessing such a great persona in the ring?

Denzel Washington in Flight and The Equalizer

Dr. Drew Pinsky canceled or fired from CNN

    Dr. Ruth Assassin

300 NORWEGIAN REINDEER DIE IN SNEAK ATTACK BY PERSIAN LIGHTNING BOLT

It seems those antlers are just the right antennae for attaching bolts from the sky. These poor creatures were only huddled together to shelter themselves from the storm when nature happened and killed all three hundred within the herd. Sad day in reindeer land. At least with wolves, they have a fighting chance. But speaking of wolves.

THE BEAST OF BRAMSTROM STRIKES AGAIN

BUSH CLOWNS LURE CHILDREN INTO WOODS WITH DA DOLLA DOLLA BILLS YA'LL

South Carolina authorities investigate reports of clown sightings in various cities throughout the state. Apparently, clowns are flopping in their big ol' shoes around wooded neighborhoods, hiding in bushes, and offering kids money in attempts to lure them into the thick. Jerry Jr., local neighbor kid said of his encounter with the propositioning clown, "n*&$#! you must be crazy." His mother then smacked Lil JJ in the mouth and drug him home kicking and screaming.
