What changes when we are willing to see beyond what we see?
In this episode of Talks With Jor, we explore Numbers 13 and what it reveals about the power of perspective. As we remain open to another perspective, we can learn to see differently, respond differently, lead differently, and live differently.
This leadership narrative gives us a tangible picture of how relationships can cover our blind spots and help us see what we may not see on our own. We consider the value of walking with a partner, friend, colleague, co-owner, mentor, or loved one who chooses faith over fear—trusting what God has said even when circumstances look intimidating.
When we are confident in the promise because the One who promised is faithful, we can remain anchored in His character. Giants, enemies, and barriers do not have to determine how we see ourselves. We can move from seeing ourselves as small and defeated to seeing ourselves as victorious, protected, loved, and provided for.
We also explore bilateral preparation—being prepared for something new while recognizing that something new is being prepared for us. As we explore what is ahead, we can ask: What am I being invited into, and how will what is already there shape my livelihood, the battles I overcome, and the benefits that I receive?
Sometimes the breakthrough begins with a perspective shift: for us to look again, believe again, and see ourselves differently.
What if one of the greatest benefits of relationship is having someone who can see what you might have missed?
In this episode of Talks With Jor, we explore Exodus 32:15–19 and Exodus 33:9–11 and continue the conversation about finding our Moses mentor (covered on episode 6). We also talk about the value of listening to wise counsel and being open to perspectives other than our own.
Healthy relationships don’t just give us love and connection—they also help cover our blind spots. As we move forward with wise mentors, friends, loved ones, and destiny helpers who are able to inspire us to expand our line of sight, we become more open to receive help so we can see what we may have missed on our own.
Furthermore, we explore the power of curiosity. When we choose to come close, ask questions, and cultivate relationship, we learn through intimacy instead of distance.
Sometimes moving forward means we must be willing to look again, listen differently, and see from a new angle.
Who is your Moses mentor? In this episode of Talks With Jor, we explore the life of Joshua, a warrior and unprecedented leader who guides Israel from promise to manifestation. We uncover the power of mentorship and leadership. Like Maya Angelou was to Oprah, Dolly Parton was to Miley Cyrus, Elijah to Elisha, and even Jesus to the disciples, we need people who have walked the road before us. We discuss leadership, preparation, trust, proximity, and vulnerability—and how wise mentorship can help us grow into our calling while investing in a generation that can go further than the one before it.
What might you still be holding onto that it could be time to leave behind? In this episode of Talks With Jor, we explore a host of New Testament scriptures from Paul's letters to the churches, as well as look into Abraham's faith journey as the father of faith and Moses' journey as a futuristic leader and builder of an overlooked and discredited nation. This conversation challenges us to forget what was, to renew our minds daily, and move forward with faith. As we let go, we make room for deeper trust, greater maturity, and new instructions. We are being prepared to change culture, shift nations, and help establish the Kingdom of Heaven in the earth.
What happens when life presents you with a window of opportunity to let go of what was so you can receive what is next? In this episode of Talks With Jor, we dive into an ancient prophecy and multiple New Covenant scriptures. This conversation challenges us to release the past, embrace new life, and make room for what is opening before us now. Through the giver of all life, we have access to new life. Let’s learn, grow, and move forward with purpose.
