  • Art or Artificial?

Hey besties! Episode 4 of The Tam N Lo Show is here, and this week we’re joined by the incredibly talented artist and musician Jonathan Singletary!

We’re getting into all things music, community, creativity, and what it really means to be successful. Is success measured by the money, the recognition, or the impact you leave behind? And how important is community when it comes to finding your voice and making your mark as an artist?

And of course, we had to address the artificial elephant in the room: AI.

That thang is spreading through every industry like the new plague, and the creative world is certainly not immune. From music to film and everything in between, we’re asking the questions: Is it art or is it artificial? Is AI a tool for creativity, or is it coming for everybody’s job? And what happens to human expression when technology starts doing the expressing?

It’s a conversation about passion, purpose, the future of creativity, and the importance of staying connected to what makes us human.

Because in a world where everything can be generated, authenticity might just be the most valuable thing we have left.

Anyway, thoughts, concerns, allegations? Tune in!

  • Color In Context

This week on The Tam N Lo Show, we’re joined by the incredibly talented Alexandra Shipp for a conversation that goes a lot deeper than we anticipated.

Three mixed-race, queer creatives walk into a podcast… and naturally, we have some things to unpack.

From navigating colorism and identity to finding our place in the entertainment industry, we’re getting into what it means to exist at the intersection of multiple identities in a world that constantly wants to put you in a box.

Alexandra opens up about her experience playing Storm and confronting colorism within the Black community, while we reflect on our own journeys as actors, creators, and queer people navigating spaces where we haven’t always felt fully seen or understood.

We talk about belonging, representation, the pressure to prove you’re enough of one thing or another, and how those experiences bleed into our relationships, our creativity, and the way we move through the world.

But at the heart of this conversation is something bigger: the very things that make us different are the things that make us powerful.

This episode is about owning every part of yourself, refusing to shrink for anyone else’s comfort, and realizing that you were never meant to fit neatly into a box in the first place.

Because being yourself isn’t the obstacle. It’s the superpower.

And that’s on being multifaceted, beloved.

  • Gays That Pray

In this episode, Tam and Lo two masc besties who grew up with religion sit down for an honest conversation about faith, queerness, and what happens when the beliefs you inherited no longer make room for the person you’ve become.

They unpack their experiences growing up around religion and the ways religious dogma shaped how they initially understood sexuality, gender expression, and themselves. From internalized homophobia and shame to questioning what they were taught about being queer, Tam and Lo reflect on the complicated process of separating other people’s interpretations of God from their own evolving relationships with spirituality.
